It's All In The Hips
The hip flexors are a group of 5 muscles that connect the top of the femur to the pelvis. They help power nearly every movement we perform – running, jumping, and even just standing require adequate strength and stabilisation of the hip flexors.
Every day we do things that shorten and weaken the hip flexors, for example sitting at a desk all day – if you were to then go the gym for a workout, and you aren’t stretching and strengthening the hip flexors, it will over time create muscle imbalances.
The following band exercise help to ‘engage’ the hip flexor muscles, and if done regularly will begin to strengthen them, improving your performance and lowering the risk of injury.
