With a clinic based in Wormley, Surrey and a mobile service operating within a 15 mile radius of Petworth, West Sussex, Rise Sports Therapy is able to offer a flexible service to suit your requirements in the local 'three counties' area.

What is Sports Therapy?

 

Sports Therapy deals with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational, and sports specific fitness. Regardless of whether you exercise, play sport to keep fit, or compete at club or national level, Sports Therapy may have something to offer you.

 

 

A Sports Therapist is a practitioner who...

  • Has the knowledge and ability to provide first aid and attend to injuries in a recreational, training and competitive environment
  • Has the knowledge and ability to assess and, where appropriate, refer on for specialist advice and intervention
  • Has the knowledge and ability to provide sports massage pre and post activity
  • Has the knowledge and ability to implement appropriate rehabilitation programmes


Why choose a Member of The Society of Sports Therapists?

 

At present, anyone is able to call themselves a Sports Therapist by law. It is therefore advised that the therapist you choose is a member of The Society of Sports Therapists (MSST) or The Sports Therapy Organisation (MSTO), as our qualifications have been verified and assessed. A member of The Society of Sports Therapist:

  • Has reached a minimum benchmark level of knowledge and are eligible for membership status
  • Are required to undertake an annual programme of mandatory Continued Professional Development (CPD) in order to maintain their right for re-registration
  • Hold a current and valid first aid qualification
  • Are governed by standards of conduct and disciplinary procedures that are transparent and serve to protect not only the member, but also the public with whom they come in contact
